Disability Awareness
Lets face it folks, you spend the majority of your life in a wheelchair and you quickly become an expert on the most prominent issues facing the disabled and handicapped community. Unfortunately it’s not by choice.
Johnnie is the perfect person to speak to your students. He was the first student legally mainstreamed into the public school system in the state of Michigan to teach people about becoming more aware of disability concerns.
If you want to learn more about making your campus accessible, or if you just want to ask questions to someone who faces these issues every day of his life, Johnnie is completely willing and open to talk about his disability. Johnnie has attended numerous disability awareness weeks and can help transform your campus culture to be more aware of disability related issues.
