Brother Where Are You Bound?

With all of the negative stereotypes associated with Greek Life, deciding whether or not to pledge can be a difficult decision to make. Try having to make that decision in a wheelchair. That’s just the decision Johnnie had to make as he pledged the Phi Kappa Alpha fraternity at Hope College, a small private institution in Holland Michigan.

This presentation explores the sometimes heated and controversial issues of Greek Life through stories of Johnnie’s experiences of being the first person to pledge his fraternity in a wheelchair. Come and learn how this experience brought an entirely new meaning to the word brotherhood and learn about the differences between acceptance and hazing.

Whether you are in a small local fraternity or a large national sorority, this presentation will open your eyes and make you realize the importance of brotherhood and giving back to those around you.
