Hosting Johnnie

Hosting Johnnie Tuitel is Easy:

Because of his Cerebral Palsy, Johnnie Tuitel uses a Permobil Chairman 2k Aeron power wheelchair to get around. Accommodating Johnnie and his wheelchair are easily accomplished by minor pre-event coordination with Johnnie and his staff by calling 888.302.7463

If Johnnie is Driving:

He only needs the street address of the performance location to enter into his GPS navigation system. If your campus is older, please provide directions to accessible parking and accessible entrances.

If Johnnie is Flying:

Purchaser agrees to help coordinate local “handicap accessible” ground transportation. (Vehicles with a wheelchair lift or ramp)

Hotel Accommodations:

If Johnnie will be staying overnight he needs a non-smoking First Class Wheelchair accessible room for one person with a Roll in Shower, if available. If you only ask for an accessible room, it may not have a roll in shower, so please be sure to ask. On campus accommodations may be acceptable depending upon room accessibility.

*We have found Court Yard Marriott’s are new and very accessible. *

Stage Requirements:

A wheelchair accessible stage or level area with a minimum of 10’ X 15’ cleared space will work fine. Keep in mind Johnnie is seated, if he is presenting in a large room with tables, it may be difficult to see him without a platform. If platforms are not available, Johnnie’s wheelchair is equipped with a seat elevator to help with this problem.

Please provide (1) wireless lapel mic., and sound system for the room. Johnnie does not require any special stage lighting or advanced audio equipment.

Hospitality:

Please provide Johnnie with something to drink. Simply ask him what he would like. He enjoys coffee, bottled water, tea, and other beverages while speaking.

PLEASE NOTE: If Johnnie will be attending a luncheon or dinner as a keynote speaker, he cannot have dairy products. (No butter, milk, or other dairy products without warning)

Performance Fee:

Due in full on or before the close of the scheduled performance hours. If further assistance is required, please contact:
