Our Team
Together our team manages not only Johnnie's speaking business but also Alternatives in Motion and Cedar Tree Publishing. We all work very closely together and rely on our individual strengths and weaknesses to keep us moving forward. From left to right in the photo below:

George Ranville:
George's previous marketing experience for an international business, coupled with his leadership skills from his Navy Officer days (Lieutenant Commander) make him ideal to tout the banners for both Tap Shoe Productions and Alternatives in Motion.George serves as the general manager of Tap Shoe Productions and provides the structure for our staff. George and his wife Gail enjoy living with their cats while their two children are away at college.

Johnnie Tuitel:
Johnnie Tuitel calls himself “America’s Pioneer Handicapitalist”, a term Johnnie uses to focus on his abilities and opportunities. As a philanthropist he founded the charity Alternatives in Motion in the early 90’s to provide wheelchairs to the uninsured. (www.alternativesinmotion.org)

As an award winning children’s author, and storyteller, he is known as the “very best author at inspiring kids to read and write”. He encourages kids of every age to “Join In The Adventure of Life”. His school author visits plant the seeds that create the climate of “inclusion” in every school he visits.

As a motivational speaker he inspires life long community service, and he mentors great leaders and great team members. Johnnie also uses his life to teach about diversity and “disability awareness” in a personalized and humorous way.

In October of 2010 Johnnie was the subject of worldwide news when US Airway removed him from an airplane deeming him “Too Disabled to Fly”. He has used that as a teaching moment, and incorporates the details into his presentations so others can learn from that astonishing event.

Johnnie received the 2003 Hope College, Distinguished Alumni Award and he received a community service award from President Gerald R. Ford. His fourth book “Searching the Noonday Trail” was honored by IBBY (International Board on Books for Young People). Johnnie’s attitude and humor are inspirational, and he will change your perception on disability for the better.
